Jakarta - Contract Rahmat Darmawan with Persija will end this August. Although there are several clubs reportedly after him, determined to defend Persija RD.
One club is reportedly eyeing RD from Bandung city rivals, Arsenal. However, so far it is reportedly still a rumor.
Persija himself in talks with the coach planned this week will decide the outcome. And as stated Chairman of Persija, Paul Ferry, RD Persija tenure as coach today.
"So, my communication as he is merely to extend. This week will be decided. Until now, he still coaches Persija status," he told detiksport.
"What he conveyed was that he was still awaiting a decision from the national team. If it is for the national team, Persija will provide opportunities," he continued.
Ferry himself can maintain optimism in Persija RD. However, he admitted that the final decision is left entirely to the coach.
"If you look at the geographical, residential, Persija still have a better chance (to keep it, red). But, if Rahmad own desires we do not you can not obstruct."
"If it's different desires, so we finish in a professional manner," Ferry straightforward.
RD itself is no longer an assistant to the senior leadership team nasinal coach Wim Rijsbergen after the second match against Turkmenistan. He was subsequently assigned to train the U-23 national team with a mission to achieve success at the SEA Games this year.
