Indonesia Competition Scheduled October 8

Jakarta - PSSI Liga Indonesia is planning to roll out a new season on 8 October or six days before the deadline as specified by the Asian Football Confederation or AFC.

This was conveyed by the Director of Competitions Committee, Sihar Sitorus, having met in the AFC and Assessment workshop with representatives of clubs in the Hotel Sahid, Wednesday (08/03/2011).

Clubs applicants 2011/2012 season has about two months until October 14, as prescribed AFC, to register and undergo eligibility verification process as participants of the competition.


Five aspects of competition that must be met is the financial, legal, sporting (sports), infrastructure and private administration.

Clubs should prepare a document starting on August 3 to 21. The document is inserted into the PSSI on August 22 and daily thereafter, PSSI start verify. At the same time depositing club participation deposit to the account of PSSI.

The club must submit a letter of guarantee in the financing ability club for three seasons. According to the rules of FIFA and the AFC, the ideal number of participants of a competition is 18 to 22 clubs.

"Announcement of the competition participants and format of the competition will be held on 25 August. On that date we will see how the structure of the new professional league," said Sihar told reporters.

"Why be on until October 14? So that we can really meet the requirements of the proposed AFC," he continued.

If you can not meet the requirements proposed by the AFC on 14 October, then Indonesia could not send representatives to the Asian competition over the next three seasons.
